Job summary

IMRF is seeking an experienced Employer Account Analyst to review and monitor employer accounts, ensure compliance with IMRF policies and the Illinois pension code, and provide analytical support. The role includes mentoring teammates, developing training materials, and driving process improvements to strengthen accuracy and compliance.

The position focuses on GASB statements, rate changes, delinquencies, and complex communications to employers, with opportunities to influence cross-department

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex concepts.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Knowledge of actuarial, accounting and funding concepts for defined benefit plans is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and process employer accounts and payments; monitor and adjust cash receipts.
• Prepare and review GASB-related disclosures and pension footnotes to employers.
• Provide training and technical guidance to Employer Account Examiners.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Respond to inquiries from employers, IMRF staff and other stakeholders within timeliness standards.
• Participate in cross-department initiatives and system enhancements testing.
