Job summary

CHRISTUS Health Tyler is seeking an Emergency Care Center Technician Senior to support RNs in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include venipuncture, wound care, specimen collection, and vital signs with adherence to privacy and infection control.

The role requires EMT license and BLS, plus two years of patient care experience in acute care or EMS settings. Shifts are 7PM–7AM, full-time, with patient-centered care at the core.

Qualifications

• Certification required.
• Two years of patient care experience in an acute care hospital or EMT field/Emergency Care Setting.
• EMT license required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care with compassion.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with venipuncture, wound care, and specimen collection as instructed.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety, observe isolation procedures and hand hygiene.
• Assist in patient transfers, admission and discharge under RN guidance.
