Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks an Emergency Care Center Technician Senior to support RNs in the Emergency Department. The role performs venipuncture, wound care, sutures, and monitors vital signs, while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.

Responsibilities include compassionate basic care, IV assistance, patient transfers, and post-op support under RN direction. Requires EMT license and BLS; PRN/per diem hours offered at a Texas facility.

Qualifications

• Certification required.
• Two years of patient care experience in an acute care hospital or EMT setting.

Responsibilities

• Gives basic care to patients in a compassionate manner.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to the RN.
• Assists with IVs, wound care, and catheter procedures under RN guidance.
• Ensures patient privacy and safety; follows isolation and infection control procedures.
• Assists with discharge, transport, and documentation as directed by the nurse.
