Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX is seeking an Emergency Care Center Technician Senior to support RNs in the ER. You will perform venipuncture, wound care, wound dressings, and monitor patients with attention to privacy and comfort.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with IV threads, specimen collection, and post-op care under RN supervision. A strong patient-care orientation and EMT license are required.

Qualifications

• Certification required.
• Two years of patient care experience in acute care or EMT setting.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS OneCHRISTUS competencies and provides basic care compassionately.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to RN.
• Performs venipuncture, wound care, dressings, and wound assessment under RN guidance.
• Collects urine/stool specimens and performs Accuchecks/blood sugar as directed.
• Assists with patient transfers, positioning, and discharge under supervision.
