Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to develop low-level flight software for Leo satellite avionics. You will write specifications, design documents, embedded code, and tests, collaborating closely with hardware and controls engineers to ensure reliable platform software for mission success.

You will contribute across the software lifecycle, applying C, C++, Rust and other languages, while addressing fault handling and rigorous verification

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• Experience programming in C and embedded software for bare metal/RTOS.
• Ability to mentor or lead an engineering team and drive architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level embedded software for satellite hardware.
• Work with assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages on embedded systems.
• Translate avionics hardware requirements into software specifications.
• Contribute to fault-tolerant software in radiation environments.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
