Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop in C, C++, and Rust within a real-time OS, and to contribute to satellite command, file transfer, and telemetry systems.

You will collaborate with Leo ground service teams and satellite agent teams to ensure reliable operations, mentor junior engineers, and help design scalable architectures across on-board software and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• 7+ years in programming with at least one language (C/C++/Rust).
• 7+ years guiding design or architecture of complex systems.
• Experience mentoring, leading tech teams or as a tech lead.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust in a real-time OS.
• Develop AWS cloud services that manage the Leo satellites.
• Write system applications for command, file transfer and telemetry.
• Collaborate with Leo ground service and satellite agent teams.
