Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to architect advanced test infrastructure for the Leo satellite network. You will work on production-quality code across front-end interfaces, backend services, and data infrastructure, enabling end-to-end telemetry processing and automated anomaly detection at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Contribute production-quality code across front-end interfaces, backend services, data infrastructure, and AI/ML layers to build end-to-end systems
• Design and build components of intelligent systems that ingest telemetry to detect anomalies in real-time and predict failures
• Develop understanding of satellite hardware, flight software, ground gateways, and backend services to architect data infrastructure and analysis solutions
• Build agents capable of tracing root causes across satellite buses, links, gateways, and on-premises equipment
• Design natural language systems that fuse real-time telemetry with historical data for context-aware interactions
• Design and implement retrieval systems for semantic search across operational patterns and system behaviours
• Design and implement components of a scalable S3-based data lake with metadata management and lineage tracking
• Design and implement components of a low-latency data visualization platform for engineers and operators
