Job summary

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network delivering fast, reliable internet to customers beyond conventional networks. In this role, you will participate in all phases of software development for flight and ground systems, tackling power management, hardware interfaces, telemetry, and autonomous control.

You will develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust within RTOS environments, design flight software for the constellation, and collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming in at least one software language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust in a real-time OS environment.
Architect, design, and implement flight software for satellite constellation.
Write software to interact with devices using I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet.
Write device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management.
Collaborate with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing.
