Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and optimize embedded software for satellite avionics in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

You will work on low-level software, including drivers and kernel modules, while collaborating with hardware and software teams to meet demanding reliability and power efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, integration and improvement of the software for embedded hardware.
• Develop embedded software in C++ and Rust for microcontrollers and devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture.
• Build secure software and ensure reliability for space-based systems.
