Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking software engineers for the Battle Management Software Department in Indianapolis, on-site. You will support development, test, and lifecycle activities for embedded avionics software interfacing with avionics systems.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, and 8+ years in software with C++, C#, Ada, or Python. Collaboration with multi-disciplined teams and leadership contributions are valued.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
• Proficiency with C++, C#, Ada, Python.
• Experience in Windows environments and OO design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Work closely with other software engineers and systems engineers to design end-to-end solutions.
• Support all aspects of the software development life cycle within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide technical leadership through mentorship and code/process reviews.
