Job summary

RTX in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced software engineer for an onsite role requiring DoD security clearance. You will collaborate with software and systems engineers to design and implement complex integrations across the full software lifecycle, from concept to maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong C++/C# and Python skills, Windows experience, and solid OOP fundamentals, with familiarity in RTOS environments and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration and test.
• Experience with C++, C#, Ada, Python, or related languages.
• Experience in Windows environments and OOP concepts.
• Experience with Git for source control and with DevOps/DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to complex software integration problems with end-user focus.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers across lifecycle stages: concept to maintenance.
• Lead and mentor peers, participate in reviews and design/process improvements.
• Support both DoD and commercial programs from requirements through testing and maintenance.
