Job summary

RTX in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking software engineers to support development, test, and software life cycle activities for aircraft embedded software applications across avionics interfaces.

This 100% onsite role requires a degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong C/C++/C#/Ada/Python skills, Windows development, Git, and hands-on DevOps practices, plus the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
• Experience developing and testing software using C++, C#, Ada, Python, or closely related software languages.
• Experience developing software in a Windows environment.
• Experience with Git for source code management.
• Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile development using Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Work closely with other software engineers and systems engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team, including concept, requirements, design, development, integration, test, and maintenance.
