Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Software Embedded Engineer in Northridge, CA to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for our medical devices. The role emphasizes strong C and Python and Bluetooth Low Energy capabilities, with a focus on safety-critical, real-time embedded systems.

You will work in a hybrid environment (3-4 days onsite) and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure robust software throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of embedded device experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
• Determines systems software design requirements.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
• May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
