Job summary

MiniMed in Northridge, CA seeks a Senior Software Embedded Engineer to design, develop and maintain embedded software for innovative products. The role is hybrid, with 3–4 days onsite in Northridge, focusing on embedded systems and Bluetooth LE communications using C and Python.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in regulated environments, strong software engineering practices and a track record of leading safety-critical real-time embedded projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• 10+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years with advanced degree.
• 5+ years of embedded device experience in a regulated industry.
• Expert in embedded software engineering best practices; C and Python.
• Develop Bluetooth Low Energy communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
• Determines systems software design requirements.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
