Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Software Embedded Engineer in Northridge, CA. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for diabetes care products, with emphasis on C and Python and Bluetooth Low Energy integration.

You will lead with technical excellence in a hybrid work setup (3–4 days onsite in Northridge). A strong background in regulated industries and safety-critical software is essential to drive robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed before start date.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; or 8 years with an advanced degree.
• Minimum 5 years of embedded device experience in a regulated industry.
• Expert in embedded software development practices and safety-critical real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software components and OS-level features.
• Define system software requirements and ensure compliance with project needs.
• Develop reusable, efficient code in C and Python for embedded devices.
• Work with Bluetooth LE protocols and software lifecycles from analysis to validation.
