Job summary

MiniMed is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test II for embedded software/firmware in Northridge, CA. You will design and execute tests for embedded systems and medical devices, building automated tests in JavaScript and Python.

The role is hybrid (3-4 days in office, 1-2 days remote) and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams. A BS in CS/EE and hands-on embedded experience are expected, with BLE testing and CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of software engineering or test automation experience (internships count).
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems.
• Programming in JavaScript and/or Python.
• End-to-end functional testing and test automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute functional, regression and end-to-end tests for embedded systems and medical devices.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, reports and traceability artifacts.
• Automate test scripts using JavaScript/Python.
• Work with BLE testing, including pairing, connectivity and interoperability scenarios.
• Analyze logs to identify root causes across hardware and software.
