Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will architect and integrate software for firmware and hardware solutions supporting autonomous avionics systems, working with cross-discipline teams in an IPT environment.

Ideal candidates have embedded software experience, multiple RTOS platforms, and the ability to obtain program access. The role emphasizes Lean/Agile practices and rigorous quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Embedded C++ and at least two of: Embedded RTOS, software architecture design and implementation.
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferable final Secret U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to refine product concept and ensure quality.
• Mentor less experienced staff and participate in design reviews.
