Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator to architect and implement software for firmware and hardware in autonomous avionics systems.

You will work with Product Owners and engineers in a Lean/Agile IPT, delivering reliable, time-critical software and supporting integration across cross-functional teams on-site. The role requires 10+ years of experience in embedded C++ and RTOS, with the ability to obtain interim security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with embedded C++ software and RTOS ecosystems.
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product concepts and ensure quality.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to design reviews.
• Contribute to proposals and critical design reviews.
• Ability to obtain program access.
