Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for an onsite Tucson, AZ role. You will architect and implement embedded software for FPGA firmware and hardware solutions, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure reliable operation of time-critical systems.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in STEM, strong embedded C++, RTOS experience, and the ability to obtain program access with a current Secret clearance. Relocation is offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with embedded C++ software and at least two of: embedded software security, software architecture design/implementation.
• Experience using embedded RTOS (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux).
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferrable final Secret US government security clearance; ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy embedded real-time software for firmware/hardware solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to refine product concepts and guarantee quality.
• Mentor and coach less experienced staff; contribute to design reviews and proposals.
