Job summary

RTX located in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator. The role focuses on architecting, designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and deploying software for FPGA firmware and hardware solutions in autonomous avionics systems.

Requires deep embedded experience and a transferable Secret clearance. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and IPT members using Lean/Agile practices to ensure reliable embedded software that

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
Experience using embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux, etc.
Experience developing complex systems involving integration of hardware, firmware, and software.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

Architect embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems of firmware and hardware.
Work with cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept and quality.
Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
Contribute to proposals and design reviews.
Ability to obtain program access.
