Job summary
RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator in Tucson, AZ to architect, implement, test and integrate firmware and software for embedded systems used in autonomous avionics. You will work in an IPT with product owners and engineers, applying Lean/Agile practices to deliver reliable solutions.
You must have a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, plus the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and eventually program access.
Qualifications
- Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with at least two of: Embedded C++ software, embedded software security, software architecture design.
- Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance and program access.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy embedded real-time software for firmware and hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary IPT teams to refine product concepts and ensure measurable quality.
- Mentor less-experienced staff and contribute to design reviews.
- Support proposals and participate in preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Demonstrate ability to obtain program access and security clearance.
