Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for our Tucson, AZ site to architect, implement, test, and deploy firmware and software for avionics systems.

You will work in an IPT with Lean/Agile practices, collaborating with product owners and engineers to ensure time-critical functionality and mission assurance. A Secret clearance is required and the ability to obtain program access after start.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of embedded software experience.
• Experience with at least two: Embedded C++ software, embedded software security, software architecture design.
• Experience using embedded RTOS (Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux).
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware, and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferrable final Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems of firmware and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline team to refine product concepts, implementation, testability, and quality.
• Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
• Contribute to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.
• Ability to obtain program access.
