Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator in Tucson, AZ to architect, implement, test and deploy software for firmware and hardware in avionics systems. You will work in an IPT with Lean/Agile practices, delivering reliable embedded solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in STEM fields, experience with RTOS and hardware/software integration, and an active Secret clearance. This is an onsite position with relocation offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with embedded RTOS (e.g., Green Hills, Wind River VxWorks, Linux).
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferrable final Secret U.S. government clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy embedded real-time software for firmware and hardware.
• Collaborate in a cross-discipline IPT to improve product concept, implementation and quality.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in design reviews.
