Job summary

Colossus Technologies Group is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer in Melbourne, FL to design, develop, and test real-time software for mission-critical systems. You will work primarily in C/C++ within RTOS environments, leveraging VxWorks and Wind River Helix platforms.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with aerospace/defense contexts, including low-level debugging, device drivers, BSPs, and hardware interfaces, and will collaborate across hardware, systems, and software

Qualifications

Hands-on embedded C/C++ development experience in RTOS environments.
Experience with VxWorks, Wind River Helix, or related Wind River technologies.
Background in aerospace, avionics, defense, or safety-critical products is highly desirable.
Experience with embedded Linux, device drivers, BSPs, low-level debugging, or hardware interfaces is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for real-time systems.
Develop primarily in C/C++ within embedded/RTOS environments.
Work with VxWorks and/or Wind River Helix development platforms.
Debug software at the hardware/software interface and troubleshoot complex system issues.
Participate in software integration, verification, and system-level testing.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and software engineering teams.
