Job summary

Wind River is seeking a senior embedded systems/RTOS troubleshooter for a 6-month contract focused on VxWorks and Wind River Linux internals. You will debug kernel and driver code, reproduce complex customer environments, and own high‑stakes escalations.

Strong C/C++ skills and real hardware bring‑up experience are required. Expect collaboration with Product Management and Engineering, plus contributions to knowledge-base content.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years embedded systems/RTOS experience.
• Strong debugging skills down to kernel/driver level.
• Experience with Wind River products and hardware bring-up advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reproduce customer environments in internal labs.
• Debug across OS, hardware, networking, virtualization, and embedded/real-time systems.
• Find root causes, build workarounds, document suspected defects.
• Own customer-facing communication on critical/escalated cases.
• Build knowledge-base content and mentor junior engineers.
• Act as liaison between Support, Product Management, and Engineering.
