Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in software test and verification for embedded or aerospace systems.
• Experience verifying safety-critical software in aviation or similar regulated environments.
• Hands-on development of automated test software and test harnesses.
• Strong Python and/or C/C++ programming; scripting for test-tools.
• Experience in unit, integration, system, and requirements-based testing.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, configuration management, issue tracking, and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test and verification software for safety-critical embedded aviation systems.
• Create automated test frameworks, test harnesses, simulators, stubs, drivers, and data-analysis tools to verify airborne software.
• Translate requirements into traceable, repeatable test procedures and automated test cases.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, hardware/software integration, and regression tests.
• Support verification activities per DO-178C, producing certification-quality evidence.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to test results and ensure reproducibility.
• Develop approaches for structural coverage analysis (MC/DC, statement, decision) as applicable.
• Identify coverage gaps, analyze results, and drive defect resolution with engineers.
• Develop test automation in Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, shell scripts, or similar.
• Build environments that interface with avionics hardware and external aircraft systems.
• Support HIL/SIL/PIL test environments and test-benches.
