Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced embedded systems engineer to work on multi-core platforms. You will perform analysis and benchmarking on safety-critical systems, focusing on mitigating interference between hardware and software.

The role requires knowledge of RTOS environments and AC-20-193 guidance, with emphasis on verification of embedded hardware and performance evaluation across iterations. Hybrid onsite work is available with flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-core processor products in safety-critical environments.
• Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) experience in safety-critical environments.
• Embedded hardware development and verification experience.
• Experience or knowledge of AC-20-193 (previously CAST-32A).
• Experience defining hardware interference channels.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-core analysis aligned with AC-20-193 guidance on a multi-core system.
• Develop or execute micro-benchmarks/benchmarks on the target multi-core system.
• Analyze system performance and undesired behavior caused by hardware or software interference and drive mitigation solutions.
