Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking an hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship the OS via automated CI/CD pipelines in a headless embedded environment.

The role requires navigating low-level OS internals, Yocto BitBake, and image recipes, with emphasis on maintainable, patch-based workflows and optimized build performance across Jenkins agents.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on work with low-level OS internals and Yocto BitBake machinery.
• Experience building and maintaining Ubuntu-based embedded OS images for headless devices.
• Ability to design, implement, and secure embedded Linux firmware and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Yocto-based firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform (QRB5165).
• Write and maintain .bb recipes/.bbappend overlays and patch-based workflows.
• Debug BitBake tasks and optimize build times across Jenkins agents.
