Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship the OS through automated CI/CD pipelines, working on headless embedded hardware with no display.

The role emphasizes Yocto/BitBake mastery, image recipes, and OS hardening, with responsibilities spanning rootfs customization, QA tooling, and performance tuning across Jenkins pipelines and distributed build

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded OS experience with Linux
• Deep knowledge of Yocto/BitBake and image recipes
• Experience securing firmware and hardening OS
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated builds
• Ability to debug low-level OS issues on headless hardware

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Yocto-based firmware images for the MK2 drone platform.
• Implement OS hardening and ROOTFS post-processing steps.
• Tune and optimize Jenkins pipelines and build agents for reliability.
• Configure systemd units, networking, and logging for headless devices.
• Manage package upgrades, apt/dpkg state, and patching against upstream BSPs.
