Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship the OS via automated CI/CD pipelines in a headless embedded environment.

You will navigate low-level OS internals, Yocto BitBake, systemd units, and patch/bind upstream sources while optimizing build times and ensuring robust image delivery across Jenkins-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience with Yocto/BitBake and embedded Linux systems.
• Hands-on kernel/OS internals for headless devices without display.
• Familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines for firmware images.
• Proficient in cross-compilation for ARM64 targets and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Yocto-based firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform.
• Write and maintain .bb and .bbappend recipes; patch upstream BSP sources.
• Debug and optimize BitBake task failures and build performance.
• Implement ROOTFS post-processing and OS hardening in embedded images.
