Job summary

Lynx is seeking an embedded Linux expert to join our customer engineering team within the professional services division. You will work across a range of technologies, including Lynx’s key products and customer-specific requirements, to enable customers in their embedded software development.

You will design, develop, and refactor real-time software architectures, reproduce complex low-level issues, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and on-time

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years building and shipping embedded Linux systems.
• Linux kernel customization and device driver development.
• Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, or OpenEmbedded.
• Performance optimization and kernel-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-A or x86 SoCs.
• Experience with the Linux kernel or another OS kernel with isolated user space.
• Root-cause investigation of OS/hypervisor/hardware driver bugs.
• C programming proficiency.
• Git at the command line.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet schedules.
• Experience leading software projects and guiding teams.
• Strong sense of urgency and independence.
• Commitment to quality and helping the team succeed.
• Must be a US citizen or US person.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refactor real-time software architectures and modular software components.
• Reproduce, isolate and debug complex low-level problems spanning hardware/software interfaces.
• Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to enhance the project experience.
• Contribute to product design to support customers across their product lifecycle.
• Ensure deadlines are met and risks/issues are communicated to the customer.
• Maintain high quality of deliverables.
• Develop technical proposals to help customers make technical decisions.
• Perform additional job duties as assigned.
