Job summary

Lynx in the United States seeks a senior software engineering leader to direct a cross-functional team of engineers and contractors. You will own the delivery lifecycle for operating system features, balancing speed with safety and reliability.

You will translate stakeholder requirements into actionable system specs, ensure regulatory and airworthiness compliance, and guide the team through complex certification processes to deliver robust software solutions. Must be a US Citizen.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders.
• Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile. You know how to make Agile work in environments where “breaking things” isn’t an option.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors.
• Own the delivery lifecycle for OS features, managing timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with external customers and internal stakeholders to capture, analyze, and refine requirements.
• Deep-dive into safety-critical standards to translate certification requirements into actionable engineering items.
