Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to lead the design and testing of embedded systems and drive technical direction across hardware and firmware teams.

You will work with cross‑functional stakeholders and mentor junior engineers, applying knowledge of power electronics, sensors and system integration to deliver high‑reliability products. This on‑site role supports a fast‑paced engineering culture in Brookfield, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in related design field.
• Expertise in C programming and microcontroller peripherals.
• Analogue/digital system tradeoffs, signal integrity, noise analysis.
• Firmware architecture and codebase reuse methodologies.
• Power electronics circuit design and control.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects.
• Develop test plans, procedures and test cases for embedded systems development.
• Communicate progress and risks up and across the organization clearly.
• Create Work Breakdown Structures and drive milestones and schedules.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and potentially lead a small team.
• Work with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies and data acquisition systems.
