Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Sr. Firmware Engineer to lead firmware architectures and embedded software efforts. You will interface with cross-functional teams to translate system design requirements into embedded solutions and drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded C/C++ experience.
• Experience with bare-metal firmware designs.
• Experience with DevOps, automated testing, CI/CD.
• Knowledge of software lifecycle and microcontroller RTOS.
• Willingness to travel ~10% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of real-time firmware and embedded systems.
• Develop and refine engineering requirements based on marketing and user needs.
• Lead design and implementation of embedded software with modern processes.
• Peer-review software designs and source code.
• Establish and execute test procedures for software applications and subsystems.
• Guide agile teams through new product development and milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate progress across the org.
• Work with lab equipment to validate designs and performance.
