Job summary

Axon Enterprise in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to lead high-speed digital and mixed-signal hardware for robotics products. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive hardware from concept through mass production, ensuring EMI/ESD protection and robust reliability.

The role requires a strong background in schematic design, PCB collaboration, and hands-on bring-up with lab tools. Proficiency in Cadence/OrCAD and Python scripting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• 9+ years of electronics design experience for high-speed digital embedded systems
• Experience leading hardware design from concept to mass production
• Experience with EMI/ESD protection and filtering techniques
• Strong scripting basics (Python) for automation and data collection

Responsibilities

• Research, propose, and develop innovative circuit designs for Axon Robotics products
• Design, develop, and verify system circuitry and hardware per project requirements
• Use schematic capture tools to design embedded mixed-signal circuitry
• Collaborate with PCB Design engineers on layouts using Allegro or similar tools
• Select new electrical parts and work with suppliers to choose best components
• Oversee electronics development across the product lifecycle from concept to mass production
• Lead schematic and layout reviews to improve design quality
• Develop test plans and methods to validate designs effectively
• Bring up and debug systems using lab instruments like oscilloscopes and multimeters
