Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology America, Inc. seeks a Level III Field Service Technician to service, install, and repair complex electromechanical equipment on-site. The role emphasizes data-driven support, proactive customer care, and collaboration with technical teams.

You will diagnose failures across mechanical, electronic, and software domains, perform repairs to minimize downtime, and help train less experienced staff. Travel and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• An Associate degree or trade/technical certificate preferred.
• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience, including at least two years in a field service environment.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment is essential.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service calls and perform equipment maintenance at customer sites.
• Assist operators with operational issues and provide on-site training as needed.
• Diagnose failures in mechanical, hardware, software, and systems and implement effective repairs.
• Prepare reports analyzing product failure trends and serviceability issues.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality per company policies, and coordinate parts shipments.
• Travel as required to support business needs and cover for other technicians.
