Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology America, Inc. seeks a Level III Field Service Technician to provide on-site servicing, installation, and repair of complex electromechanical equipment. You will diagnose failures, perform repairs, and prepare reports to analyze product failure trends, while assisting with training for junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or trade/technical school certificate preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience, including at least two years in a field service environment.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment is essential.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service calls and perform equipment maintenance at customer sites.
• Diagnose failures in mechanical, hardware, software, and systems and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assist with on-site training of less experienced field service technicians.
• Record maintenance activities and manage parts inventory and shipments.
• Maintain open communication with customer management and internal teams regarding issues and status.
