Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize the manufacturing value chain for electro-mechanical assemblies, driving process improvements and cost reductions while scaling production of defense hardware.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering and Product Quality, implement DFx for NPI, write work instructions, work with contract manufacturers, and lead initiatives to improve FPY and yield on complex systems.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering, math, or a hard science is required.
8+ years in electromechanical hardware manufacturing or design.
Hands-on hardware fabrication experience.
Experience with electrical debugging tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQs, power supplies).
Experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter or Oracle ERP.
Ability to communicate technical challenges to diverse audiences.
Eligible for US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Own portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for electro-mechanical assemblies.
Lead Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
Support RCCA burndowns with Product Quality Engineering.
Troubleshoot complex mixed-signal systems to root cause.
Implement corrective actions to improve first-pass yield.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to provide DFx for NPI transitions.
Develop process flows for subassemblies and sub-processes.
Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
Coordinate with contract manufacturers for repeatable processes for prototyping and production.
Work hands-on with technicians to build prototype hardware.
Contribute to end-customer hardware design including interconnects and board fabrication.
