Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to own parts of the manufacturing value chain for defense hardware, from tooling to process optimization. You will develop novel tooling for fabrication, and define work instructions for scale.

You will collaborate with contract manufacturers and technicians, travel to suppliers, and contribute to mechanical/electrical design of hardware, in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples.
• Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication or assembly.
• Genuine interest in manufacturing and willingness to learn.
• U.S. Person status is required to access export controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a product or set of products.
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
• Develop process flows by breaking down large assemblies into subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Write documentation for manufacturing at scale, like work instructions and quality plans.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, scalable processes.
• Work with technicians and engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers to source, solve production issues and implement quality procedures.
