Modular Mission Critical is hiring for a field-based protective relaying and metering tester in Virginia. You will install, test, calibrate, and maintain relays and meters in transmission and distribution environments, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role requires interpreting schematics, performing diagnostics, and coordinating with engineers and clients. Strong safety practices, willingness to travel, and experience with high‑voltage equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with protective relaying and metering testing.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and substation drawings.
• Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems.
• Interpret electrical diagrams to locate faults and perform repairs.
• Coordinate testing and repairs with other departments and clients.
• Maintain accurate test reports and documentation.
