Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, the manufacturing campus for M.C. Dean, near Richmond, VA, seeks an experienced electrical test technician.

You will install, calibrate, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems, interpret schematics, and support commissioning across data centers and utility environments. Responsibilities include diagnostics, coordination with project teams, and adherence to NETA/IEEE safety standards with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with protective relays, metering, and testing in transmission and distribution.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in operating test equipment and ensuring safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems.
• Analyze test results and interpret electrical diagrams to locate defects.
• Coordinate testing, troubleshooting, and repairs with other department personnel.
• Maintain detailed test reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
