Job summary

Modular Mission Critical seeks an experienced electrical testing professional to lead the installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying and metering systems in transmission and distribution settings. You will diagnose issues, interpret schematics, and coordinate repairs to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires 2+ years of electrical experience with a bachelor’s in engineering, knowledge of safety standards, and ability to work in industrial and utility

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of electrical experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering.
• Uses test equipment in energized electrical rooms, vaults, and substations to install, maintain, repair and program protective relays and associated wiring and equipment.
• Interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation drawings and inspections.
• Performs safe testing and maintenance per safety handbook.
• Coordinates testing, troubleshooting and repairs with other department personnel.
• Maintains test reports and documentation for compliance and client review.
• Mentors junior technicians as needed.
