Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑scope, complex projects, coordinating client interfaces, project teams, and budgets.

You will plan, execute, mentor Project Managers I and II, manage risks and contracts, and drive quality, schedule, and financial performance across disciplines. This Raleigh, NC area role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to grow with a national engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Technical or engineering degree with ten years of project experience
• Fifteen years of practical project experience
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred (required if ABET degree)
• Proven leadership and trusted-advisor to clients
• Experience proactively managing project financials and risk management
• Familiarity with scheduling, resource planning, and CRM platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead high-scope, high-complexity projects and multiple programs
• Serve as primary client contact and trusted advisor
• Develop financial plans and manage budgets
• Mentor Project Managers I and II
• Ensure quality standards and contractual obligations
• Build client relationships and engage in business development
• Coordinate proposals and interview processes
