Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Mission Critical Facilities Senior Project Engineer, Electrical to guide electrical design for data center projects. You will mentor staff, supervise engineers and designers, and ensure quality from concept through delivery, adapting to evolving industry requirements.

The role offers leadership in technically challenging environments and opportunities to stay current with new technologies, guidelines, and client expectations across Stantec’s global practice.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years related industry experience preferred.
• Mission critical / data center experience required.
• Registered professional engineer (PE) license or other professional certification based on expertise required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists business development by providing input on proposals and presentations.
• Manages technical project process and scope within own discipline and tracks schedule/budget.
• Delegates tasks to project engineers and designers as appropriate.
• Follows QA/QC processes and ensures design quality before reviews.
• Builds/maintains client relations and articulates requirements, progress and challenges.
• Leads technical discussions and integrates design to meet objectives.
• Coordinates with disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests.
• Acts as supervisor and resource to design staff and supports training.
• Engages in professional community to stay updated on requirements and technologies.
• Identifies opportunities to improve deliverables and contributes to guides and memos.
