Job summary

Stantec is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical for Mission Critical Facilities to guide electrical design on data center projects. You will mentor project engineers and designers, oversee quality, and ensure client requirements are met through innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions.

You will lead cross-disciplinary collaboration, manage scope and schedules, and contribute to design guides and technical memos.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mission critical/data center design concepts.
• Experience working on large scale projects with varied stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, codes and standards in own discipline.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conceptualize and develop solutions for complex systems.
• Strong communicator who conveys scope, schedule and budget to clients and teams.
• Proficient in technical reporting and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assists business development in new project pursuits and participates in interviews.
• Manages technical project process and scope of work within own discipline.
• Delegates tasks to project engineers and designers.
• Follows quality management processes and QA/QC reviews.
• Builds and maintains strong client relations and communicates progress and challenges.
• Leads technical discussions and integrates designs with stakeholders.
• Coordinates with all disciplines for integrated design.
• Acts as supervisor and mentor to staff and supports education/development.
• Participates in professional community to stay current with requirements and technologies.
• Identifies opportunities to standardize deliverables across centers.
