Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Electrical Team Lead to guide the design and analysis of electrical systems for nuclear material processing, waste treatment, and power plants. You will coordinate detailed design phases, mentor engineers, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Must be a U.S. citizen; ABET-approved BSEE; DOE Q clearance; 10+ years; lead an engineering design team; develop calculations, engage with vendors, produce design docs, and advance careers through Communities of

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE required; MSEE preferred.
• Ability to obtain US government security clearance.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering with power, DOE, or nuclear experience.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical team in coordinating detailed design phases for electrical engineering work.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate systems design to meet specs, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations (arc flash, voltage drop, fault current, lighting).
• Prepare design input documentation including master diagrams and schematics.
• Interface with vendors to prepare material and equipment specifications.
• Produce reports/studies presenting technical information clearly for clients.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge across Communities of Practice.
