Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior electrical engineering leader to guide the design of electrical systems for nuclear processing, waste treatment, and commercial power facilities. The role involves leading a project team, coordinating with vendors, and delivering compliant, cost-effective designs.

Candidates should have 12+ years in electrical design, be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance, and pursue PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program required; MSEE preferred.
• Must be able and have a desire to obtain P.E. licensure.
• Must be able to obtain a DOE “Q” level clearance.
• 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for power/nuclear facilities.
• 3+ years in leading an engineering design team.

Responsibilities

• Act as Electrical team lead for detailed design phases of electrical engineering work.
• Lead projects to be completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate systems design to meet specs, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review detailed electrical calculations (arc flash, voltage drop, fault current, lighting).
• Prepare design input documentation for drawings (master diagrams/schematics).
• Interface with vendors for material and equipment specifications.
• Prepare reports and studies meeting client requirements and S&L formats.
• Perform independent reviews of peer work.
