Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Chicago seeks a senior electrical engineering leader to guide a group on nuclear power projects, from scoping through design, analysis, and client coordination. You will oversee multi-discipline interfaces and ensure deliverables meet technical, quality, and budget goals.

The role requires a BSEE from an ABET-accredited program, 10 years of nuclear electrical design experience, and 3 years leading a design group, with strong communication and vendor liaison skills.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience designing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
• 3 years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design change packages.
• Experience with client liaison in a lead engineering role.
• Electrical system design including low/medium voltage distribution, transformers, generators, relays.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to complete electrical engineering deliverables on time and within budget.
• Define scope, deliverables, and track progress; conduct regular status meetings and reports.
• Oversee detailed design phases and interface with other disciplines.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex nuclear modifications.
• Provide supervision of engineering activities and ensure client satisfaction.
