Sargent & Lundy, within the Nuclear Power Group in the United States, seeks a senior electrical engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary group on challenging nuclear plant projects. The role emphasizes delivering electrical design deliverables, coordinating with other disciplines, and driving scope and budget adherence.

The position requires ABET-accredited BSEE, 10+ years in plant electrical design, and strong leadership. Hybrid work schedule with in-office presence required three days per week.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 10+ years experience in electrical engineering design for nuclear power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design change packages.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
• Experience with electrical system design including low and medium voltage distribution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Able to be badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group efforts to ensure successful completion of electrical project deliverables within technical, quality, financial and controls expectations.
• Define deliverables and supervise progress to meet scope and budget.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces and client communications.
• Lead detailed design phases and cross-discipline coordination for nuclear power projects.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Provide technical oversight and supervise all electrical engineering activities including design change packages and calculations.
• Interface with the client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide group development and pursue follow-on opportunities.
• Prepare and coordinate multi-discipline proposals.
