Job summary

AECOM has a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer role to support multi-disciplinary design teams in power generation. You will lead electrical and I&C CAD efforts, coordinate deliverables, and ensure safe, constructible designs across projects.

Remote and hybrid options are available, with opportunities to collaborate across offices and travel as needed. Ideal candidates have a strong CAD toolkit and experience driving design quality in energy facilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant power or industrial experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred qualifications include management of Common Data Environments including ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC.
• Experience utilizing and integrating data sets into 3D models (laser scans, LiDAR, etc.).
• Experience in CadWorx, Revit, SolidWorks, ReCap, NX, AutoCAD Electrical, Elecdes.
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Experience in SQL and collaborative model environments (Navisworks).
• Field or construction experience; strong knowledge of industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C discipline CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee the design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables, ensuring constructability and safety.
• Perform complex CAD tasks and coordinate production of drawings and integrated content.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to develop facility designs from feasibility through construction support.
• Lead discipline CAD designer on projects with budgets, staffing plans and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take offs.
• Utilize laser scans, LiDAR data, and survey points for project modeling.
• Contribute to business development activities and proposals.
• Create, update and implement group CAD standards.
• Check and verify work prepared by peers; participate in meetings and occasional travel.
